After you have decided where you are going, decided how you are getting there, you would think the hardest parts would be over. However, packing can be tricky depending on your destination and if you are not familiar with the climate or culture it can get kind of tricky. One of the best ways to get started is to figure out the climate for the time you will be there, and a week or so beforehand check the weather daily to see if anything is out of the ordinary. Then, you need to keep in mind the length of your travels. Over packing is never a good idea because it is heavy to carry around and if you are flying then you have the chance of going over the weight limit for checked luggage, and airlines are now charging a hefty fee so we want to make sure to avoid that. But packing too little can also be bad idea because you can you can run out of essential items. However, I would prefer to pack too little than to over pack because you can always buy new things or, depending where you are, do laundry.

After figuring out the climate and activities you are going to want to do while you are at your destination, it is time to make a list. A list is a good way to organize your thoughts and the best way to make sure you are going to pack everything you need and that you ultimately pack it. After you make your list you need to go buy whatever you do not already have, it is a good idea to start these errands a week in advance so you are not running around the day before you leave. It also helps doing these errands a week in advance in case you forget anything you have plenty of time to get it. Then it is time to finely start your packing. It is a good idea to start this process at least a week or two before you leave because after daily activities time can slip away before you know it and you might not have time to do everything you intended to do before you left.

After your errands and list making is complete, it is time to find the right suitcase for you. If you are driving it does not really matter how big your suitcase is, unless traveling with a good amount of people because there needs to be room for everyone"s suitcases. If you are flying then you need to make sure of the measurements requirements for your airline, most length, width, and height must measure sixty-two inches or less, and always keep in mind that the weight limit is fifty pounds or less. Now it is time to start filling that suitcase!
