Interval training involves alternating the heart rate, from slow, to intermediate, to fast-paced. A great example of interval training would be sprinting at a fast pace for about 30 seconds, then jog lightly for about 60 seconds. Continue this pattern for about 30 minutes.

Exercise has wonderful effects on the body. However, if you don"t keep it up in regular, consistent intervals, it will do little good. The key is to work out at least 3 to 4 times per week, for at least 30 to 60 minutes each time. Consistency, combined with intensity and duration, is the key to getting in the best shape of your life.
